
What level is your child AT?
BY 12 MONTHS, a child should respond to their name, follow simple gestures, imitate sounds and words, and give objects on request.
BY 18 MONTHS, a child should use 6-20 recognizable words, demand objects, follow instructions, and imitate everyday activities with conversational intonation.
BY AGE 2, a child should use over 50 recognizable words, form sentences, ask for names of objects, and carry out simple instructions. They can also sing songs, identify body parts, and define miniature toys.
BY AGE2 1/2, a child should use 200 or more words, know their name, ask questions, and play meaningfully with miniature toys.
AT 3 YEARS OLD, a child should have a wide vocabulary, use personal pronouns correctly, and have simple conversations while eagerly listening to stories.
BY AGE 4, a child should speak in grammatically correct sentences with understandable speech, ask many questions, remember nursery rhymes, and tell connected accounts of recent events.

Yes we are seeing progress a plenty! Last week he said, 'Grandma pick up me'.... This was because Grandma had picked him up from nursery for the first time. We couldn't believe it, a sentence! Woohoo!
