SPEECH CLUB FOR NURSERIES
Are you a SENCo who is worried about the number of language delayed children in your nursery?
Are you due to be inspected by Ofsted and need a clear evidence-based programme to show how you are now addressing this need?
Speech Club is your answer.
The first form of intervention where you just press play. Every child in your nursery can watch our lessons and we provide all the materials and tools that you need to both teach your children and educate your staff.
1. Staff Training: Speech Club trains staff in early language acquisition without risking investment in specific members, unlike the ELKAN package.
2. Ease of Use: Unlike Early Talk Boost and similar interventions, Speech Club needs no preparation, allowing staff to simply ‘press play’.
3. Cost-Effectiveness: Speech Club is affordable without the need for special licenses or specific teacher training, unlike schemes like Well Comm.
4. Flexible Group Size: While NELI suggests groups of 3-4 kids, Speech Club caters to whole classes and can even be accessed at home, promoting shared learning between parents and staff.
5. Earlier Intervention: Speech Club starts as early as 18 months, earlier than most interventions, ensuring timely identification and minimising later intervention needs.
6. Immediate Access: Unlike Talk Boost or NELI, Speech Club provides instant access to lessons and therapy without waiting times or delivery.
7. Financial Efficiency: Speech Club negates the need for additional therapists, offering an economical solution to language challenges.
8. Accountability: Speech Club showcases its efficient use of funds and provides evidence-based therapy, aiding in Ofsted inspections.
9. Scalability and Funding: It's online nature allows Speech Club to scale rapidly and is funded through various means including nursery funding and EHCP funding.
10. Quality Content: Crafted by expert Paediatric Speech & Language therapists, Speech Club offers pre-recorded lessons, progress charts, and other resources, ensuring engaging and effective learning.
11. Ofsted Alignment: Communication & Language, one of the three key areas in the LAW (Statutory framework) for children 0 to 5, is a focal point in inspections, with Speech Club directly addressing this need.
12. Updated Statutory Framework: The latest framework, effective from September 2023, emphasizes the importance of children’s spoken language in all areas of learning, underscoring the value of Speech Club.
13. Inclusive Participation: Speech Club not only supports children with delays but also engages their peers. These peers act as assistants, further enriching their development in the process.
14. Holistic Benefits: Through Speech Club, children bolster their confidence, staff experience a sense of accomplishment, parents rejoice in their child's enhanced communication skills, and the nursery's reputation flourishes.
